Unicum – Management, Publishing & Consulting is now HERE.

New needs call for a new website. As much as I love WordPress, their audio, photo & video upload process (when not requesting a paid upgrade…) was getting frustrating, so thank you Tumblr for being such a great alternative.

It will now be much easier for us to share music, photos and videos on the go of all Unicum artists without the dread of a new recap post building up for me on top of it all…

In case you were worried, fear not : all previous posts will remain on line and are available here.

For any updates from now on, please use the www.unicum-music.com address to land in the right place.

Emilie Chick shot her very first video clip ever, on “Scholarship” with the fabulous SOBAM crew in Paris. Thank you Joss & Marc & Fatina for your time and fantastic vision.

- Cool magazine Vibrations launched a contest for the winner to attend the shoot and write up a report.

- Allomusic also popped in on the set for a photo report and good interview. Both will be online soon.

Emilie Chick also posted a couple of pics from the shoot herself ! (and that includes the gross hamburger episode…)

…the video should be online for the end of May / beginning of June…

- Mademoiselle Sane celebrated the digital release of her long-awaited new album “Ca n’coûte pas grand chose de rêver” – it’s great, it’s good, it’s in French but for you non-Francophones, does that really change anything?

- Emilie Chick was featured on 2 Nokia Music Store home pages (Rap/Hip Hop &  Main), where a free track (“The Next Day”) was available for download.

Mademoiselle Sane a fêté la sortie numérique de son nouvel album “Ca n’coûte pas grand chose de rêver” en début de semaine en partageant en exclu un teaser video sur le making-of de l’album.

Décidément bonne semaine puisque l’album a aussi été mis en avant sur la home page de MusicMe (‘Album à découvrir’) et sur la home page Chanson Française de Deezer (juste a côté de Thomas Fersen). C’est pas beautiful ça?

Emilie Chick plays not one but 2 shows @ Europavox Festival in Clermont-Ferrand !

- 1st show will be at 7.00 pm during Europavox’s press conference,  where Emilie will receive her Prize for “Favourite album of the European Music Press” from the hands of Marc Maret from Adami.

- 2nd show will be at the Coopérative de Mai at 8.45 pm sharp @ Club Coopé when and where you can catch her perform between Hindi Zahra and The Nits‘s respective sets !

Emilie is busy preparing her upcoming 1st ever video-shoot for “Scholarship” that she just sent out as a free download and that will be the 1st single from her 1st solo album “This Is Emilie Chick Speaking”.

“Oh, un nouveau !” vous me direz.  Pas si nouveau en fait – certains d’entre vous l’avez déjà entendu : son single “Baie des Anges” tourne sur RTL2 et Virgin Radio le week-end depuis février.

“Seul habitant d’un univers qui n’appartient qu’à lui, une sorte de chaos total au cœur duquel pousseraient de drôles de fleurs multicolores, des chansons parfaitement françaises, parfaitement pop, parfaites pour ces années 2010 qui débutent.” C’est pas moi qui l’ai dit, c’est Gilles Verlant.

Un site web flambant neuf avec tout plein de posts de ses photos ou vidéos préférées, il ne va pas s’interdire pour autant de poster du contenu …auto-piraté ! Curieux? …Patience…

En attendant, Virginradio.fr nous dévoile en exclu la 1ère vidéo sur les coulisses de l’enregistrement de son 1er album, dont 6 titres sont récemment sortis en digital sur un EP sobrement intitulé “Dantès”.

She wowed everyone at PRS for Music showcase last thursday and is programmed to blow you away again this Friday with her live radio show on BBC Lancs as John Gilmore’s guest for “An Intimate Afternoon With…”

If you haven’t got your ticket yet, Joni’s giving away a couple of last ones and if you’re still not lucky enough to procure these, you can still tune into BBC Lancs to listen to parts of the show aired live.

…was back in Paris last Friday (16/04) to open for incredible Montreal-based band Beast @ La Maroquinerie in Paris, where she delivered a sassy and slick performance as always. Emilie has posted pics on flickr & videos on youtube…and a really, really sweet update on her website. Read on.

Good news came up today in the form of an article in Musique Info, the French Music Industry monthly magazine, on her Deezer de Talents/Adami win.

…And there are many a good thing Emilie Chick will be looking forward to in May also.

First of all, she will finally be shooting her (1st ever!) music video mid-May on “Scholarship“, her 1st single that was played on Radio FG just before the gig on Friday!

Secondly, potential dates in Paris should hopefully be announced soon, alongside an invitation to the Adami/Deezer de Talent/Europavox press conference in Clermont-Ferrand (22/05) to officially receive her prize and perform a very short acoustic set in front of 200 industry professionals.

Things have definitely started to move forward for Joni and media attention has recently intensified.

Radio

Two of her songs (“Paper Cuts” and “Blue Café”) are now being played regularly on BBC Lancashire thanks to John Gillmore and Sean McGinty who have invited her back into the studio on 7^th May to perform on “An Intimate Afternoon With…”.  The show is already fully booked and will be aired live.

You probably all noticed, but in case you didn’t, Joni won the award for ‘Best Female Artist’ at the Exposure Music Awards.

A couple of articles followed in the local press (Blackpool Gazette) and more importantly, PRS for Music interviewed her last week, labeling her “one to watch”!

To top all this good news, Joni has just been invited to perform at PRS for Music‘s AGM by its Chairman, Ellis Rich, so she’ll be back in London next thursday (29/04) at the Imagination Gallery !

Les choses commencent à bien se mettre en place avec un calendrier de 3 dates à ne pas manquer - à vos agendas!

30 avril : le concert pour les France Ô Folies qui avait été filmé en février dernier à Mantes-la-Jolie sera diffusé sur France Ô. …A vos votes… (c’est par ici!).

17 mai : l’album ”Ca n’coûte pas grand’ chose de rêver” est fin prêt et sortira sur toutes les plateformes de téléchargement légal dans les provinces de France et de Navarre !

28 mai : 1ère date de reprise des concerts en formation allégée. Ca se passera au 16, à Montmartre, plus d’infos bientôt….
